The layer was created to allow City of Redmond GIS users to quickly open a utility asset's record drawing from the ArcMap or ArcPro environment utilizing a hyperlink field contained in the point. The point layer is created by a python script that is run on a quarterly basis on all existing utility GIS data stored in the City of Redmond's GIS enterprise database. The script creates a point at the center of each utility asset and then generates a hyperlink based on the asset's "RecordDrawing" field. |
